Mobile and Postal

Recently (since 213), tourists are now permitted to bring their mobile phones along into the DPRK and keep them until the tours end. However, you will not be granted to actually use it for international calls unless you buy to use an international dialling SIM card. The cost is about EUR 50 per SIM and an international call takes you around EUR 2-3 per minute. You may also use international land line telephone, fax and email, to contact the outside world, which can be arranged easily from your (superior up) hotels in Pyongyang. The tourists cannot use the internet services.
